The Midwest's only Latin Jazz Big Band celebrates their debut CD, “Blueprints” with a Salsa party at Mayne Stage! Chicago Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble (CALJE) formed in an effort to fuse the musical treasures of Afro-Latin American music and Jazz with musicians from Chicago's diverse Jazz community. With a global sound and ensemble, this group uses Latin rhythms as a springboard to create aesthetic textures and sonic spaces, establishing CALJE as a new voice in the Latin Jazz genre.
